My client are a private bank concentrating on high-end clients. Due to continued expansion, we are currently seeking an Internal Auditor to work within the high profile Wealth business unit. This division enjoys 50% global travel and a European passport is essential to be considered for this role as you can be based either in London or Geneva.

The core responsibility of an Audit Senior within the audit team is to plan, execute and support the management of audit assignments in your business area.

The assurance work will be in accordance with the Group Audit plan and relevant policies, procedures and standards.

The Audit Senior is responsible for the quality of audit and assurance work papers and the delivery in accordance with agreed timelines.

Understand and document allocated processes
Identify, assess & document risks and controls within these processes
Write high quality audit observations and support the Audit Manager in writing the report
Provide suggestions to management for how they can address the control issues identified
Provide suggestions to management for actions to address control issues identified
Discuss and agree the factual accuracy of audit observations with auditees. Discuss these with Audit Manager, Senior Audit Manager and Head of Audit
Update the Audit Manager and audit team with progress and observations
Build good working relationships with auditees
Participate fully and supportively in all audits

In addition:
Continue to update awareness of risk issues and changes across selected business units
Assist in the induction of new joiners, mentoring less experienced team members
Proactively take on additional tasks as requested by the HoA - this may include managing Issue Assurance, production of teamMI and planning

Knowledge, Expertise & Experience - preferred:
Demonstrates a good understanding of the key business drivers
Show a good understanding of the control, regulatory and risk issues key markets particularly FSA regulations, MiFID, Sarbanes Oxley and Data Protection and demonstrate application of the knowledge to the audit delivery

You will be a qualified accountant with financial services experience or will have graduated from a top firm where you have worked with financial services clients. You will be ambitious and able to manage senior stakeholders whilst adding value to the business as a whole.
